There are six categories of photos and information that are necessary in creating a 2nomi® life story photobook. The categories of information are based on valid scientific research and proven to enhance the quality of care.
These categories do not have to be in any particular set order and there can be more than one photograph for each category, but all the categories must have at least one photo in order to promote the full potential of the 2nomi story.
The required categories are:
- Life Achievements and Accomplishments, (education, spirituality, military service, sports, etc.)
- Family, Friends and Pets, (list names and relationships, both current and past)
- Memories of Home
- Significant Positive Memories, (marriage, children, places visited, family stories, books, movies, etc.)
- Life-long Habits (activities of daily living, sleeping position, bedtime, favorite foods/beverages)
- Passions, Hopes and Dreams
Use the 2nomi tips below to solicit memories that are pertinent to forming a holistic life story of who the person is and what their needs are.
This information will be used to edit text captions that will be added to each photo as simple descriptions and conversation starters. Care providers will use this information to promote positive memories that will provide comfort and tranquility.
